Here are some tips for parents and their kids to get more fun out of a Walt
Disney World vacation.
Take a midday break when visiting the parks. Adults get very tired walking
round the parks, so imagine how little ones must feel! Go back to relax and
refresh your family with a nap or a swim in the pool.
There is no need to pack up all the baby gear for a trip to Disney. In-park
stroller rental ($6 a day plus $1 refundable deposit) makes traveling through
the theme parks easy.
Mom and Dad get a chance to enjoy the attractions without the wait with Disney’s
Kid Switch policy. One parent waits in line with a small child while the other
parent rides the attraction. The first parent then returns to the loading area
and takes the child, while the second parent rides.
Make sure your child knows what to do if he or she gets lost. Tell them that
cast members wear name badges, and to go to one of them immediately if he or she
gets lost. For older kids arrange a place to meet if they get lost.
Disney has special name tags for very young children. Guests can get them at
City Hall in Magic Kingdom; Guest Relations in Epcot, MGM & Animal Kingdom; and
at the Baby Care Centers located in all four parks at Walt Disney World.
If you do lose your child, report to Guest Relations or City Hall; one of the
Baby Care Centers; or tell a Cast Member.
Most Disney restaurants offer children's menus, plus crayons and coloring books
to keep kids entertained.
